The Vineyard Suites by The Royal Portfolio (accommodation review)
Nestled amidst the rolling vineyards and breathtaking mountain views that define the Franschhoek valley, and a stone’s throw from La Residence, are the Vineyard Suites. Part of the collection of luxury hotels and lodges that make up The Royal Portfolio, there are five Vineyard Suites in total. Each is tastefully decorated in a way that manages to blend luxurious comfort with a homely feel. The best part for us - children of all ages are welcome.

The special guest for the episode is Chef Gregory Henderson. contestants are asked to cook a celebration dinner to commemorate 50 Years of SA Chefs (their Golden Jubilee). Their two-course menu needs to have a golden thread running through the dishes.
Episode 18 of MasterChef South Africa Season 5
As the contestants walk into the MasterChef studio, they see big towers filled with cream puffs. The special guest for this episode is Pastry Chef Jared Melamed, who tasks them to recreate his signature patisserie Tarts au Choux Noisette.

La Petite Ferme Accommodation Review
La Petite Ferme is in Franschhoek, just over an hour from Cape Town. The hotel is situated on the slopes of the Oliphants Pass and Middagkrans Mountain Range, a minute drive away from Haute Cabrière (the home of Pierre Jordan). The views from the restaurant and accommodation are breathtaking.

The contestants are tasked to surprise the judges with a dish “that is steeped in illusion, deception, secrets and masquerades between savoury and sweet”. Their dish must also include a molecular gastronomy technique.
