MasterChef South Africa winner also known as The Roasted Dad
The Roasted Dad started as an Instagram account during the pandemic in 2020. Entrepreneur Shawn Godfrey was struggling with the implications of the lockdown on his LED Lighting business and needed a creative outlet. Challenging himself to try new dishes in the evening hours, he shared his love for cooking with his friends and family by posting the recipes online.
Fast-forward a few months, Shawn then entered (and won) MasterChef South Africa, and this is when The Roasted Dad grew to what it is today.
Whilst food remains a creative outlet for Shawn, he has also not let go of his entrepreneurial spirit. Continuing to run LLSA, Shawn has also launched several other business (like premium audio company RetailWave Technologies, and it’s b2c equivalent Octo).

I host private dinner parties, cook-with-me demonstrations at different venues in Cape Town such as Makers Landing, the Bosch Showroom. These are always great fun for a team building or other corporate event but can also work for a family reunion or to celebrate a special occasion.
