Mill House Patisserie at La Cotte Farm in Franschhoek (review)
We were in Franschhoek for the long weekend, and took Aiden, Olivia, and Harvey up the hill to La Cotte Farm to visit The Mill House Patisserie. I have had this spot on my radar for a while; it recently won at the 2025 Luxe Awards for Coffee Shop of the Year 2025 and secured a spot on The Inside Guide’s Hot List. And it did not disappoint.

It’s not often you find a neighbourhood secret hiding in plain sight, but that’s exactly what happened when I went hunting for a meeting spot for my crochet business, In Stitches. I was looking for a local small business with a good vibe and even better coffee—and that’s how I discovered the iconic red corner that is CRUST Bakery.
